Multitrack Audio Producer Fellowship

For the last few months I’ve been working alongside a group of other volunteers to launch a new fellowship, aimed at supporting emerging producers from underrepresented backgrounds to get their break into the industry.

It’s exciting to be able to say the fellowship now exists, and as of this moment, is open for applications. It’s called Multitrack and you can read all about it at multitrackfellowship.com.

In short though… we’ve got six different independent production companies on board – each of the three fellows from the 2019 cohort will get to spend a total of two months working across two different production companies (one month at each). They’ll also come together with the rest of their cohort for training and networking opportunities, spending time with people from all the production companies, as well as other companies and independent producers. It’s all paid at the London Living Wage. This year, we’re inviting applications from people who belong to one or both of these groups:

  • People who identify as black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME), or as a person of colour
  • People from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds

We’re working hard to make the pilot year as rewarding and worthwhile as possible for the 2019 fellows. And I’m excited to keep learning and evolving what we’re doing going forward. We want to make this a thing that helps push for positive cultural change in our industry over the long term, as well as providing a specific opportunity for the fellows who get to take part each year.
